From a Plumber’s Wrench to Building Data Pips

I still remember the weight of that pipe wrench in my 16-year-old hands. Grease-covered overalls. The smell of sewage. And the constant, crushing voice in my head that said, “This is all you’ll ever be.”

That boy is still part of me. But he’s not who I became.

My name is Shurah Beel Hamid, and Data Pips is the platform I built to share everything I’ve learned — from business strategies and trading to freelancing, compounding, and the mindset it takes to climb out of rock bottom. This site isn’t here to impress you. It’s here to show you what’s actually possible when you stop listening to everyone else and start betting on yourself.

The Beginning: School Dropout, Electrician, and Broken Hope

I left school in 10th class. Not because I was lazy. Because life collapsed around me. For three years, I worked as an electrician and a plumber. My father, a respected government teacher, faced daily embarrassment. Relatives mocked openly. “His son fixes toilets.” Every family gathering was a courtroom where I was the guilty defendant.

The mental stress was unbearable. I attempted suicide multiple times. I genuinely believed the world would be better without me. But something inside — maybe stubbornness, maybe survival instinct — refused to let me go. Those dark years didn’t destroy me. They forged something harder. Something that doesn’t break easily anymore.

The Turning Point: Saudi Arabia, AC Repair, and a New Lens

I moved to Saudi Arabia. I repaired air conditioners in 45°C heat. But this time, I was watching. Not just working — observing. I noticed expat workers had money but no way to express their identity. That observation became my first real business: a T-shirt brand targeting expat communities.

It wasn’t glamorous. The first designs were ugly. Sales were slow. But it proved something to my brain that changed everything: I could create income. I didn’t have to wait for someone to give me permission.

Building Multiple Income Streams — The Foundation of Data Pips

While running the T-shirt business, I dove into trading — first binary options, then forex and gold. I blew funded accounts. I made every rookie mistake. But I journaled every loss, extracted every lesson, and slowly built a trading psychology that no market can shake anymore.

I started freelancing with zero portfolio. Cold pitches. Rejections. Then my first international client. Then more. I learned that compounding isn’t just for money — it’s for skills, relationships, and reputation.

I explored real estate, closing property deals with zero capital using nothing but handmade boards and a phone number. I learned that business strategies aren’t about having money. They’re about having the willingness to look foolish in public while everyone else stays comfortable.

Data Pips was born from this exact realization: that the knowledge I’d gained through pain and failure could help others skip years of struggle. Every article, every guide, every piece of content on this platform comes from lived experience — not theory.

Why Data Pips Exists

I’m not here to sell you a dream. The internet is full of fake gurus pretending they cracked some secret code. I’m here because I’ve been at the bottom — genuinely, dangerously at the bottom — and I know what it takes to climb out. No degree. No inheritance. No shortcuts.

Data Pips exists to share what I’ve learned across the areas that actually matter:

  • Business Strategies: Practical ways to start and grow businesses without waiting for perfect conditions or massive capital.
  • AI and Technology: How artificial intelligence is reshaping freelancing, trading, and entrepreneurship — and how to stay ahead instead of being replaced.
  • Forex & Gold Trading: Real trading psychology, risk management, and the mental discipline required to survive and profit in financial markets.
  • Compounding: The boring, powerful truth about building wealth slowly that nobody wants to hear but everyone needs to understand.
  • Freelancing: How I built an international client base from scratch — no portfolio, no connections, just relentless action.
  • Trading Psychology: The inner game that separates consistent traders from emotional gamblers.
  • Elite Mindset: How to rewire your brain for resilience, discipline, and long-term thinking.
  • Self-Improvement: Embracing discomfort, overcoming trauma, and becoming someone you respect.
  • Personal Finance: Money behavior, financial independence, and the difference between looking rich and being free.

What You’ll Find on Data Pips

Every article on this site is written from direct experience. Not theory. Not regurgitated research. I write about what I’ve lived — the failures more than the wins, because failures are where the actual lessons hide.

Here’s what you can expect from Data Pips:

  • Step-by-step business strategies that don’t require degrees or deep pockets
  • Honest breakdowns of AI tools and how they’re changing the game for freelancers and traders
  • Trading psychology insights from someone who’s blown accounts and rebuilt
  • Personal finance principles that focus on freedom, not flexing
  • Mindset shifts that actually stick — not motivational fluff, but rewiring exercises

My Commitment

I’m not going to pretend I have all the answers. I’m still learning. Still failing. Still adjusting. But I promise you this: every word on Data Pips is written with the intention of helping you avoid the mistakes I made and see opportunities I missed for years.

If you’re broke, stuck, unsure where to start — I’ve been there. If you’re battling self-doubt, family pressure, or the urge to give up entirely — I’ve been there too. And if a plumber who tried to end his life can build businesses, trade profitably, and create a platform like Data Pips, you can build whatever version of success you’re chasing.
